Shiitakes grown on our farm have been enriched with Vitamin D "the sunshine vitamin" by increasing the conversion of pro-Vitamin D (ergosterol) already present within Shiitake mushrooms to Vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) by exposing them to sunlight. On analysis, our Super D Shiitake have 15-fold more Vitamin D than those not exposed to sunshine.
